West Side Story HISTORY & PLOT SUMMARY
1. Explain the roles of the gangs and how they felt about each other.
There are two gangs that want to take their place under the sun. The Jets that is a White American gang, doesn't want The Sharks that are immigrants from Puerto Rica to take control of their place. And they have a big tension between each other.
2. Why do you think it would have been difficult for Maria and Tony to be in love?
It was difficult to be in love for Maria and Tony because they belonged to two different gangs that were fighting with each other.
3. What differences between the groups creates problems between them?
The main difference was because of the American/Puerto Rican problem at that time of period..
